FAQ

What is CBD?

CBD is short for “cannabidiol”, the second-most abundant cannabinoid molecule produced within the cannabis plant also known as hemp. The most abundant molecule is, of course, THC: the psychoactive chemical famous for making users feel “high” (note that CBD does not have this effect).

The body already has an endocannabinoid system, an extremely important molecular system that your body uses to regulate and perform various critical functions. CBD binds to receptors in this system; our bodies were designed to interface with cannabinoids from the very beginning — we even produce them naturally!

Where does CBD come from?

CBD is derived directly from the hemp plant, Cannabis Sativa, which is related to the marijuana plant, Cannabis Indica.

How do you get CBD from Hemp?

The CBD extraction process uses pressure, temperature, solvents or a combination of the three to collect the CBD from the hemp plant.

Is CBD Legal?

With the passing of the 2018 Federal Farm Bill, hemp and its derived products are legal.
